Vincent J. Hawkins Obituary – Troopers from SP Lockport were dispatched to the area where South Transit Road intersects with Tonawanda Creek in Pendleton for a collision involving two vehicles, one of which was a motorcycle.
Upon investigation, it was found that a 2018 Honda was heading north on South Transit Road, veered into the median, and attempted to make a left turn onto Tonawanda Creek Road without giving the right of way to a 2012 Kawasaki motorcycle. The rider of the Kawasaki, Vincent J. Hawkins, aged 51 from Medina, NY, was thrown off the motorcycle upon impact with the Honda. Hawkins was taken to Erie County Medical Center due to head injuries, but unfortunately, he passed away as a result of those injuries while at the medical center.
