Bethania Germosen Obituary, – A woman from Deltona was declared deceased on Sunday after being rescued from the lake behind her residence, as per officials. Deputies from the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office arrived at Fort Smith Boulevard shortly before 5:30 p.m. following a report from the woman’s husband, who discovered her floating face down in the water.
The deceased, identified as 74-year-old Bethania Germosen, was pronounced dead just before 5:50 p.m. Germosen, who was unable to swim and had ongoing health issues, was known to frequently feed ducks and turtles in the lake, according to the sheriff’s office.
The medical examiner was called to the scene to retrieve the woman’s body for further examination, with deputies noting that no suspicious circumstances were evident. “The sheriff’s office extends its deepest sympathies to all her loved ones for their loss,” VCSO stated in a press release.
