CLEVELAND (WJW) – Cleveland Fire investigators found a body Sunday when they returned to the scene of a home that caught fire on Friday.
Lt. Mike Norman with Cleveland Fire says fire investigators found the body at 12202 Osceola Ave. on Sunday when they returned to the scene.
Fire broke out at the home just before 4:30 a.m. Friday. Fire investigators said the fire appeared to have started on the second-floor porch, and then spread throughout the home and caught the adjacent homes on fire.
Cleveland Fire investigators believe fireworks are likely responsible for the fire.
In their initial release on Friday following the fire, Cleveland Fire noted there was an adult male who was unaccounted for. They say he lived in the home on the second floor where the fire started.
“We made multiple search attempts, and it is possible he was not home at the time of the incident,” Cleveland Fire said in a press release.
The victim has not been identified.
