Dana Alden Sanford Obituary, Man killed in Highway 70 crash identified NC State Highway Patrol

Dana Alden Sanford Obituary, – The man who died in a fiery crash on U.S. Highway 70 near mile marker 406 has been identified by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol as 53-year-old Dana Alden Sanford of Winterville. The crash occurred on June 30 at approximately 3:43 p.m. when the vehicle veered off the road and collided with a tree. Despite efforts by bystanders to rescue Sanford from the vehicle, they were unable to do so before it caught fire. Unfortunately, Sanford was pronounced dead at the scene.
