Raychel Sheridan Obituary, – The body of a 24-year-old woman from Plain Township was discovered on Wednesday morning, wrapped in plastic inside a garbage can at a Canton park, as reported in a 911 call.
The call was placed by an employee of the Canton Parks Department at approximately 9:30 a.m., upon finding the body while emptying trash at Mother Goose Land on Schroyer Ave. SW. Sheriff George T. Maier of Stark County stated that Raychel Sheridan is believed to have been murdered by her live-in boyfriend, 26-year-old Sean Goe.
Deputies from the Stark County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Sheridan and Goe’s residence on Orchard Dale Drive NW in the 4100 block around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, following a welfare check request from Sheridan’s mother. Upon arrival, deputies found the apartment door open and no one inside. Due to the suspicious circumstances, a search warrant was requested.
While awaiting the search warrant, deputies observed a maroon Jeep Liberty, suspected to be registered to Sheridan, traveling on Guilford Ave NW. The driver, identified as Goe, attempted to flee on foot into a densely wooded area after being stopped by deputies.
Following an extensive search, Goe was apprehended early Wednesday morning and is currently in custody at the Stark County Jail. Sheriff Maier mentioned that the murder is believed to have taken place in the couple’s apartment, although the exact cause of death remains unknown.
Deputies also noted that Goe has outstanding warrants for burglary, grand theft of a firearm, and domestic violence. Court records indicate that Goe allegedly stole a handgun from a residence in North Canton in April, and in May, he reportedly made physical threats towards Sheridan and damaged her vehicle tires.
