Cambridge, MD — On June 22, at approximately 5:15 a.m., Cambridge Police Department (CPD) officers responded to a report of a stabbing on the 900 block of Maces Ln.
Upon arrival, officers found a 34-year-old male victim with a stab wound to his lower abdomen. As officers attempted to render aid, the victim became unconscious and was transported by Dorchester County EMS to Tidal Health at Peninsula Regional Hospital in Salisbury.
The investigation revealed that the incident originally occurred at a residence on the 400 block of Cedar St. Evidence and blood were found at that location. Officers identified and arrested Catora Irene Burral, 36, of Cambridge, MD, as the suspect. Burral showed signs of facial injury and admitted to stabbing the male victim during an interview with CPD detectives.
Burral was charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and possession of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure. She was turned over to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections on a no-bond status
