Don Weerasinghe Obituary, – The man who was reportedly stabbed by his own daughter in Visalia has passed away and has been identified by law enforcement. Authorities have confirmed that 90-year-old Don Weerasinghe was the individual who was attacked by his daughter on Tuesday.
As per the Visalia Police Department, officers responded to a call regarding an assault on Tuesday night at the 900 block of North Atwood Street in Visalia. Weerasinghe was discovered unresponsive and bleeding heavily from his head. Investigators have stated that his daughter, 64-year-old Victoria Roberts, assaulted him with a vase and other objects before stabbing him.
Weerasinghe was taken to Kaweah Health where he was in critical condition until he succumbed to his injuries on Friday, according to the police. Roberts was apprehended at the scene and taken into custody at the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Facility. Authorities have reported that she was arrested on suspicion of homicide.
