Cheryl Brashier, Shelby Brashier Obituary – Chandler authorities have recently disclosed the identities of a mother and her young daughter who were tragically found deceased earlier this week in what is currently being investigated as a murder-suicide case. The individuals have been identified as Cheryl Brashier, aged 49, and her daughter Shelby Brashier, aged 10.
As per the police report, a close family friend visited their residence on Tuesday evening and made the grim discovery of their lifeless bodies in their unlocked condominium located near Priest Drive and Ray Road. Investigators have determined that both victims succumbed to gunshot wounds, with law enforcement recovering a firearm from the bedroom where they were found.
An official from Grace Christian Academy in Tempe has confirmed that Cheryl served as a first-grade teacher’s aide at the school and was the sole parent of Shelby, who had recently completed fourth grade in the previous month. It is with extreme sadness in notifying you of the tragic deaths of Cheryl Brashier (GCA 1st grade teacher aide) and her daughter, Shelby, who were found deceased in their condominium yesterday. Cheryl was a single parent, and Shelby just completed the fourth grade last month at GCA. Both mother and daughter were well-loved and respected by their friends, co-workers, students, and their families. Shelby entered GCA in the middle of her third grade year.
