Matthew Hayslett,Angela Hayslett Obituary, – Two individuals, a man and a woman, have tragically lost their lives in what authorities are describing as a suspected murder-suicide in Preble County. The distressing incident occurred on Sunday at approximately 9:54 a.m. The Preble County Sheriff’s Office received a distress call from an individual who reported discovering their deceased parents in their residence located in the 5600 block of Sonora Road, situated north of Lewisburg.
Upon arrival at the scene, deputies discovered the lifeless bodies of the man and woman within the residence. Following an investigation, the sheriff’s office determined that the woman, identified as 56-year-old Angela Hayslett, had been shot, while the man, identified as 60-year-old Matthew Hayslett, had taken his own life with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Authorities have confirmed that the couple was married and had a history of being together intermittently at the residence. The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office conducted autopsies on Monday to gather further information Based on the evidence found at the scene, the sheriff’s office is treating the incident as a murder-suicide. The investigation is currently ongoing and being conducted jointly by the sheriff’s office and the Preble County coroner.
