Wayne E. Gordon Obituary, – The 71st homicide in Kansas City in 2024 has been identified as 57-year-old Wayne E. Gordon, who was shot and killed at an address in the 1000 block of West 38th Street. The fatal shooting took place on Monday just after 2:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, police were directed by neighbors to an apartment building where they discovered the victim with gunshot wounds. Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Sgt. Phil DiMartino stated that it is unclear what led to the shooting, but they believe several witnesses were present during the incident.
