Chatariona Cee Cee Harrison Obituary, – Michael Smithers Jr. has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for his involvement in the murder of 18-year-old Chatariona “Cee Cee” Harrison in 2018. A Louisville jury convicted him of complicity to murder after Harrison was shot and killed outside her home on February 2, 2018. Harrison’s parents were nearby when the shooting occurred, and they were devastated to discover that their daughter had been the victim.
Smithers was identified as one of the gunmen responsible for the crime based on witness descriptions and surveillance footage. The murder weapon was recovered more than a year later. Commonwealth’s Attorney Whethers expressed hope that the victim’s family would find some solace in the jury’s verdict and the subsequent sentencing. He emphasized the commitment to pursuing justice for victims of such violent crimes.
