Susan Marinelli Obituary, Death; Avon, Connecticut, formerly of Canton and Torrington passed away: Susan Marinelli, 57, of Avon, and formerly of Canton and Torrington, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Thursday, June 13, 2024. Born in Torrington, Susan was the daughter of Rosemary (Fiore) Marinelli and the late Michael Angelo Marinelli Jr. She graduated from Post University with a B.S. in Business Administration and Management. Susan was a dedicated human resources professional, working at Orafol Americas in Avon for the last 9 years. Prior to her role there, she spent many years at Wittmann Battenfeld and The Torrington Company.
Susan was known for her contagious energy, sense of humor, independence, and unwavering dedication to her children. Her greatest joys in life were her two beautiful daughters, Kaylee and Kendra. Susan loved spending time with family and friends, entertaining them at her beautiful home and exploring wineries in Connecticut. She enjoyed traveling, frequently visiting her daughters in North Carolina, spending time in the mountains, and relaxing at the beach.
Susan is survived by her two daughters, Kaylee and Kendra Jacques of Summerville, South Carolina; her sister, Patricia (Marinelli) Gladding of Avon, Connecticut; her brother, Scott Marinelli of Torrington, Connecticut; and her nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, David Marinelli. Calling hours will take place on June 24, 2024, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Vincent Funeral Home in Canton. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Susan’s memory to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
