A man was arrested this week after a traffic stop involving a stolen vehicle led to authorities carrying out a search warrant.
As a result of the search at his home in Manchester, police reported finding multiple firearms — including an assault weapon — and enough marijuana to accuse him of operating a drug factory.
Ocarterria Johnson, 25, was arrested this week when he was stopped outside his home and was found to be driving a vehicle that was reported stolen in New York, according to Lt. Nicholas Reinert of the Manchester Police Department.
During the stop, Reinert said, officers found a “substantial quantity” of marijuana and other items commonly used in the distribution of controlled substances. Investigators then obtained a search and seizure warrant for the residence and reported finding more marijuana, an unspecified amount of cash and three firearms, according to Reinert.

Reinert said one of the guns was an assault weapon and the other two had serial numbers that appeared to be altered or obliterated.
Johnson was held in lieu of $750,000 bail pending an appearance in Manchester Superior Court.
He is charged with two counts of altering or removing identification marks on a firearm and a single count each of theft of a motor vehicle, possession of a motor vehicle with a changed identification number, illegal alteration of a motor vehicle with a changed identification number, possession of marijuana, sale of a controlled substance, interfering with an officer, first-degree criminal mischief, operating a drug factory, illegal possession of an assault weapon and illegal possession of large capacity magazines.
Reinert said the investigation remains active.
