John Medrano And Ariel Jade Death, 2 People Killed After Gunfire Between Drivers Ends In Vehicle Crash On West Side, Police Report: Two people are dead following a tragic incident on the West Side of San Antonio involving a shooting that led to a car accident. The incident occurred just before 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday along West Martin Street near Northwest 24th Street.
According to police, a man and woman were driving when an assailant in another vehicle approached and opened fire on them. Both occupants of the car were struck by gunfire, causing the driver to lose control and veer off the road, crashing into a ditch. Tragically, a homeless man and woman were sitting on the steps of an embankment where the car crashed. The man was pinned under the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The homeless woman suffered minor injuries.
The woman inside the vehicle was also found dead from the gunfire. The man inside the vehicle, who survived the shooting and crash, was taken by a private vehicle to a nearby urgent care facility and is listed in critical condition. Investigators reported that the victims’ vehicle was riddled with bullet holes on both sides. Authorities are currently working to identify and locate the suspects involved in this deadly shooting.
