Lateris Cook Obituary – The suspect vehicle involved in the deadly mass shooting on June 2 has been identified by the Akron Police Department, as announced by the City of Akron on Tuesday. According to a spokesperson for the city, the vehicle in question is a white Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) with dark-tinted windows. Investigators believe that the vehicle traveled southbound on Kelly Avenue immediately after the shooting took place.
The shooting incident resulted in the injury of 27 individuals, with Lateris Cook, a 27-year-old, tragically losing their life. In an effort to aid the investigation, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), the Summit County Crimestoppers, and the US Marshalls have collectively offered an additional reward of up to $22,500. This reward will be granted to anyone who provides information that leads to the identification, arrest, and successful prosecution of a suspect.
As of last week, two individuals, aged 29 and 37, remained in critical condition at local hospitals. However, their identities have not been disclosed at this time.
