Veronica Turpel Obituary, – The Crestwood Local Schools community is mourning the loss of 13-year-old Veronica Turpel, who tragically lost her life in an accident involving a minivan and a dump truck on Friday afternoon. Veronica was a beloved member of our school community, and her presence will be deeply missed by students and staff.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Chatham and Avon Lake Road, where the minivan failed to yield the right of way, resulting in the collision with the dump truck. Despite efforts by firefighters and paramedics, Veronica succumbed to her injuries at a hospital in Lodi. The names of the individuals involved have not been disclosed to respect the privacy of their families. The school district has provided counseling services to support those affected by this heartbreaking event. The incident is currently under investigation.
