Michael was born to Jimmy Ray Wilson and Ernestine Carpenter Wilson on December 8, 1954, in Borger, Texas. He graduated from Borger High School in 1974 and worked in the oilfield for most of his life. Mike was a member of the Church of Christ at Borger.
He married Brenda Baggs on April 19, 1980, in Borger, Texas where they lived and raised their two children. Mike loved helping and inspiring others and was involved with youth activities for over 40 years. He coached and helped coach TCY football, t-ball through Little League baseball, umpired numerous years, and helped with track and cross country meets. He participated on the Dawg House Board, Borger High School Football Booster Board, and eventually the Borger High Baseball Booster Board spending countless hours working in the concession stand.
Mike enjoyed playing men’s softball, golf, racquetball, snow skiing, camping, boating, hunting, and fishing. He also enjoyed cooking and grilling for family and friends, loved the Texas Longhorns, and had a special passion for riding his Harley. He was always busy enjoying his hobbies and having a good time in whatever he was a part of. You could always count on there never being a dull moment. He had an amazing sense of humor that spread into any place he went. And if you received a special nickname from him, you were stuck with it for life.
As much as he loved to talk to friends or strangers, and telling stories, nothing brought him more joy than his three grandchildren and watching all of their activities.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; three uncles; and two aunts.
