Gary Grose Obituary – Two Milwaukee parks were the scenes of shootings on Saturday, resulting in one fatality and three injuries. The first incident occurred at Butterfly Park on 37th Street and Meinecke Avenue around 5:15 p.m. A 6-year-old and a 37-year-old were shot, but both are expected to survive.
The park is frequently used by children from a nearby school for recess, causing concern among neighbors. The second shooting took place at Sherman Park, just blocks away, approximately 30 minutes later. A man died from a gunshot wound, while another person sustained a non-life-threatening injury.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office suspects that the Sherman Park shooting may have been in retaliation for a previous fight. The two incidents are currently being investigated, and anyone with information is urged to contact the Milwaukee police.
