Lyndsey Vicknair,Ara Duke Obituary, – Round Rock authorities have disclosed the identities of the two individuals who lost their lives in a shooting incident at Old Settlers Park on Saturday evening. The victims have been identified as Lyndsey Vicknair, a 33-year-old resident of Manor, and Ara Duke, a 54-year-old resident of Pflugerville.
According to Round Rock police, the shooting took place during a Juneteenth celebration at approximately 10:50 p.m. The incident occurred following a confrontation between two groups present at the event. Tragically, 14 others were also injured in the incident.
Round Rock PD clarified that neither Vicknair nor Duke were involved in the initial altercation. Chief Allen Banks expressed his condolences and stated that the community stands united during this challenging time. He assured the public that the authorities are fully committed to ensuring the safety of the community and bringing the responsible individuals to justice.
IDEA Public Schools confirmed that Ara Duke was an employee of their organization. The district released a statement expressing their grief and offering support to students affected by the loss.
The Round Rock police are actively searching for the shooting suspect. They have provided a description of the individual, describing him as a 19-20-year-old Black man, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a thin build and short dreadlocks. The suspect was last seen wearing a white hoodie.
