Robert Petterson Obituary, – Robert Petterson, aged 56, passed away in a motorcycle accident on I-290 after colliding with an SUV. The crash occurred in Worcester at 1:40 p.m. when a Honda CRV traveling west on the highway struck the Harley Davidson he was riding. Petterson, a resident of Farmington, New Hampshire, was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the CRV was unharmed in the incident.
Petterson was born in Portland, Maine, to Reidar and Patricia Petterson of Windham and South Portland. Described as vibrant and friendly with an active lifestyle, he was known for his larger-than-life personality and constant motion. He was generous to his loved ones and impacted the lives of many across the country.
Growing up in Windham, he graduated from Windham High School. Petterson was deeply passionate about motorcycles and was a member of the Mountain Men Motorcycle Club for over thirty years, having served as chapter president in various MMMC chapters in Maine, Vermont, and New Hampshire. He also held the position of MMMC’s national president in the past.
Remembered for his lively personality, active lifestyle, and generosity, Petterson was also a dedicated member of the New Hampshire Motorcyclists’ Rights Organization for many years. He contributed to the community through charitable efforts such as local food drives, Toys for Tots, and donations to the Meals on Wheels Organization in honor of his mother.
Aside from motorcycling, Petterson enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and spending quality time with his family. He is survived by his fiancé Shawna Collins, sister Wanda Paige, brother-in-law Thomas Paige, and relatives Michael, Alyssa, Silas Paige, and Michel.
