A 36-year-old woman was injured during a skydiving incident Sunday evening after her parachute malfunctioned, according to Tooele County Sheriff’s deputies.
Officials said the woman collided with a powerline after her main parachute failed but her reserve parachute successfully worked. The woman was conscious when authorities arrived at around 5 p.m. on the scene on the 2000 block of W. Erda Way.
She was airlifted to a Salt Lake City hospital. Her injuries, identity, and current condition were not made available.
