Following a shooting incident at a vehicle meetup in Prince George’s County, Maryland, two people have lost their lives. A $25,000 reward is currently being offered by the authorities for any information regarding the incident. Around 11:45 p.m. on Thursday, there was a shooting in the parking lot of the Accokeek commercial area called Manokeek Village. Two residents of Waldorf, Sheldon Proctor, 48, and Patrick Savoy, 55, of Charlotte Hall, have been identified as the victims. Elaine, a relative of Sheldon Proctor, said he was a good-hearted guy who liked going to auto shows.
Despite being hurt in the incident, another person was able to drive himself to the hospital. Fortunately, it doesn’t seem like his injuries will be fatal. Large bloodstains and strewn objects from people running from the shooting characterized the area of the tragedy. Witnesses report that vehicle meets in the parking lot are often quiet get-togethers, which is why this episode is so startling. The people responsible for the shooting are currently being sought for by the authorities. Elaine conveyed her shock and grief about Sheldon Proctor’s passing by leaving flowers at the spot.
She expressed her sadness at his premature passing and characterized him as a kind man. We encourage anyone with information regarding the incident to get in touch with the police and request to talk to a detective from the Homicide Unit. It’s important to remember that this shooting comes after one similar one in District Heights last month, when a 26-year-old man was shot and killed during another automobile rendezvous. Since then, two Virginians have been charged in relation to that incident. Legislative action resulted from the Maryland authorities’ months-long worries regarding the safety of these street meets.
