Paul L. Stevens Death – According to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), a fatal single-vehicle crash occurred on Thursday on Interstate 40 East, claiming the life of a tractor-trailer driver from Georgia. The driver, identified as Paul L. Stevens, 60, was operating a 2020 Freightliner TT in Cheatham County at approximately noon.
While traveling along the roadway, the tractor-trailer veered off the right side of I-40 near a wooded area, crossed both lanes of travel, and ultimately overturned near Mile Marker 184. The vehicle came to a stop facing north on its passenger side.
Tragically, Stevens lost his life in the accident, despite wearing his seatbelt. At this time, no further details have been provided regarding the incident.
