Vienna, Virginia’s The Fermented Pig was owned by Joshua Plante. The family-run business has been offering charcuterie, bacon, sausage, and handcrafted meats at neighborhood farmers’ markets and online since 2018. Plante ran his own business in Vienna and served as executive chef at Ovations’ The Fermented Pig in Wolf Trap.
He’s been serving picnic boxes and farm-to-table buffet fare to concertgoers. He was a good man, a cheerleader, and a fantastic friend. His eyes would brighten with delight when his girls were by his side. Wonderful in character, Joshua was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. He had the utmost affection for his family. He was generous to a stranger and had the warmest heart and brightest smile.
