Shooting Downtown LA; LAPD investigating possible shooting near Walt Disney Concert Hall: Police are currently responding to reports of a possible shooting near the Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles. Details remain limited at this time, but the Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Division has confirmed that officers are investigating a possible shooting near the intersection of 1st Street and Grand Avenue.
As a result of this police activity, the area is being closed off to ensure public safety. Video footage from AIR7 shows numerous police cruisers stationed outside the iconic concert hall. Coincidentally, the Los Angeles County Office of Education was holding a graduation ceremony at the Walt Disney Concert Hall on Thursday afternoon. The ceremony was in honor of graduates from juvenile court schools and alternative schools. At this point, it is unclear whether the shooting occurred inside the concert hall or if there is any connection to the graduation ceremony.
