Giovanni Michael D’Agostino, age 17, a cherished resident of Volo, IL, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at his home. Born on September 15, 2006, in Evanston, IL, Giovanni brought joy and warmth to everyone he encountered.
Giovanni was the beloved son of Ronald D’Agostino and Cassandra D’Agostino, and Melissa Olson and William Olson. He was a loving brother to Anthony, Lucas, Hannah, Isabella, and Madison. Giovanni held a special place in the hearts of his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who admired his kind and generous spirit.
A senior at Wauconda High School, Giovanni was deeply involved in his community and school life. He was an active member of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), contributed to the Wauconda High School Varsity Lacrosse Team, volunteered passionately for the Booster Club, and served as a Junior Varsity Coach for the Bulldog Youth Sports Lacrosse Program. Academically driven, Giovanni excelled as an AP student, demonstrating his commitment to learning and leadership.
Visitation to honor Giovanni’s life will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Kisselburg-Wauconda Funeral Home, 235 N. Main St., Wauconda, IL 60084. Giovanni will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his infectious enthusiasm, dedication to others, and the profound impact he made on his community.
