Jasvir Kaur Obituary, – A 19-year-old male suspect, identified as Gaurav Gill from Kent, Washington, has been apprehended and accused in relation to the shooting of two females in West Carteret on Wednesday morning. The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office disclosed that Gill was captured by Carteret police in the afternoon after being photographed by a neighbor on Post Boulevard.
The incident occurred at 9 a.m. outside a residence on Roosevelt Avenue, where emergency responders discovered the victims in the driveway. Unfortunately, one of the victims, 29-year-old Jasvir Kaur, succumbed to her injuries, while the other, a 20-year-old female, was transported to University Hospital in critical condition. Following the shooting, an extensive search was initiated by law enforcement, involving heavily armed officers, K-9 units, and state police helicopters scouring the area.
Eventually, a vigilant woman spotted the suspect in a neighbor’s yard and promptly informed the authorities, leading to Gill’s arrest behind a residence on Post Boulevard. The motive behind Gill’s presence in New Jersey and the circumstances surrounding the targeted attack on the two victims remain undisclosed by investigators from the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office. Gill is facing charges of murder, attempted murder, and illegal possession of weapons.
