Reco English,Ashley Jackson Obituary, Death; – A Birmingham resident has been accused of committing vehicular homicide, driving under the influence, and multiple other offenses in connection with a three-vehicle collision that resulted in the tragic deaths of a Pinson Valley High School football player and a Gardendale woman.
The incident occurred on June 8 along Georgia 20 in Floyd County, Georgia, near the border with Alabama. Law enforcement officials have stated that Jamie Smith, a 38-year-old individual, veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a tractor-trailer. As a result of this impact, the tractor-trailer driver was forced into a different lane and collided head-on with a Nissan Altima, which was occupied by 18-year-old Reco English in the backseat and driven by 31-year-old Ashley Jackson.
