LVIERMORE, CA, Motorcycle Accident: The California Highway Patrol reports that an early-morning collision on Interstate Highway 580 near Livermore on Thursday morning claimed the life of a man biker. According to the CHP, at approximately 5:40 a.m., its officers discovered that a motorcyclist had been involved in an accident on westbound I-580 close to North Livermore Avenue. They discovered that the rider attempted to move between a semi-truck and a sedan. However, he was hit and run over by the truck, the CHP said.
Several lanes of westbound I-580 near North Livermore Avenue were shut as a result of the collision. Only one lane of the roadway is open, according to the CHP. It was recommended that drivers in the vicinity should anticipate significant delays. At the time of the collision, no more details were known.

The biker who died last week on Interstate 580 in Livermore after colliding with a big-rig and being hit by it was identified by the Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau on Sunday. The coroner’s department reports that the deceased was 38-year-old Christopher Joseph Corrado of Discovery Bay.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the rider failed to slow down for oncoming traffic on April 18 at around 9 a.m., when he was going westbound on I-580 west of North Livermore Avenue and collided with the rear of a Mercedes SUV.
The man from the No. 2 lane was thrown into the No. 4 lane by the force of the first crash, and the CHP claims that a big-rig with a trailer struck him there. The motorbike was then struck by another heavy rig. The collision also involved a fifth car.
