AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — A man died five days after a fight at Georgia Street Taphouse and the suspect was arrested for murder.
Around 11:30 p.m. on June 5, police were called to the restaurant because a man was causing a disturbance and refusing to leave.
While officers were on the way, two men got into a fight in the parking lot. One suffered life threatening injuries, so an ambulance was requested.
Joe Luis Gonzales, 58, was taken to the hospital and later transferred to Lubbock. He died Monday.
Joel Arellano Mendez, Jr., 21, was arrested Tuesday for murder.
