Meriden, Connecticut native, Kyree Dowd has passed away suddenly. She was confirmed dead on Sunday, June 9, 2024 following a social media post by a friend announcing her death and paying tribute to her. She died while saving the life of another leaving many hearts scarred after learning of her sudden death. Without any doubt, she will always be missed by all those who knew her during the course of her life. Since the news of her death surfaced, many have not hesitated to share their heartfelt condolences with the family of Kyree Dowd.
You were like a brother / your family is family, along with the others growing up being best friends with Chris. You all taught me lessons intentionally & unintentionally.. Thank you for always brightening up the mood and just being the cool / kind guy you were. I’m thankful for the time we all had together. I’m glad you were so happy and doing well before life took you from us all, but I’m sorry it got cut short. A report of worried swimmers prompted the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection’s EnCon Police to react to Bantam Lake on Saturday. It was thought that two males, ages 16 and 27, were involved. The 27-year-old man reportedly submerged himself and did not come back to the surface. At the lake were emergency personnel from EnCon Police, Connecticut State Police, Fire Department, and EMS. A search by water was launched.
