An SUV and semi-truck crash at the intersection of US 30 and CR 900 East left one woman dead and two others injured.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived at the scene on Tuesday at 10:48 a.m. The crash occurred in Kosciusko County, between Larwill and Warsaw. The vehicles involved were a 2020 Nissan Murano, driven by 21-year-old Aleigh Hill, and a 2021 Freightliner semi-truck pulling a trailer.
Deputies determined that Hill was heading southbound from CR 900 East when she failed to yield to the eastbound semi on US 30, pulling into its path and causing the collision. Hill was transported to a Fort Wayne hospital with a broken arm.
The front seat passenger of the Nissan, 50-year-old Terry J. Wood, suffered internal injuries and was airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital. Another passenger, 26-year-old Magdalynn Wood, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was uninjured.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) is continuing to investigate the crash.
