Hannah Shaffer Carlisle Iowa Obituary, Killed in Warren County Car Accident, Two Teens Injured: Carlisle, IA – It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Hannah Shaffer, a bright and promising 15-year-old from Carlisle, Iowa. Hannah lost her life in a devastating car accident in Warren County on Sunday night, June 9, 2024.
The accident occurred when the Toyota Camry Solara, in which Hannah was a passenger, slid into a ditch on 200th Avenue near the intersection of Delaware Avenue and 200th Street. The car was heading north on 200th Avenue when the crash happened. According to the Iowa State Patrol, two of the three occupants were ejected from the vehicle. Hannah was rushed to a hospital in Des Moines, where she was pronounced dead. The other two teenagers, aged 15 and 16, were injured and transported to the hospital by ambulance for treatment.
Hannah was a beloved student at Carlisle High School, known for her kindness, vibrancy, and the bright future that lay ahead of her. Her tragic death has sent shockwaves through the school and the broader Carlisle community. In response to this heartbreaking event, the school board meeting and the baseball and softball games scheduled for Monday night were rescheduled.
