Allen Ballou, Hope Schraer Death – The two individuals who perished in a fire in western New Hampshire last week have been identified by authorities. Fire officials were alerted to the incident through a 911 call reporting smoke in a mobile home on Crown Point Drive in Charlestown, shortly before 7 a.m. on Thursday. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a deceased man inside the mobile home.
After extinguishing the fire, they also found a deceased woman. The New Hampshire State Fire Marshal’s Office has now confirmed the identities of the fire victims as Allen Ballou, 38, from Royalton, Vermont, and Hope Schraer, 36, from Enfield, New Hampshire. The cause of their deaths has been determined as smoke inhalation, and it has been classified as accidental.
The state fire marshal’s office, along with the Charlestown police and fire departments, are currently conducting an ongoing investigation into the origin and cause of the fire.
