Oliver Ziehn, the husband of Rebecca Lowthorpe (a British fashion journalist), has passed away unexpectedly. He was 55 years old. Rebecca Lowthorpe and Oliver Ziehn married in December 2020 in Old Marylebone Town Hall, shortly after London’s second lockdown was lifted. Ziehn was a partner at Lintstock Limited in the UK. He studied economics at London City University and a diploma in media studies at UCLA.
A cause of death was not publicly disclosed, and the circumstances surrounding the passing of Ziehn are also unknown.
Who is Rebecca Lowthorpe?
Rebecca Lowthorpe is a British fashion journalist. She formerly served as fashion director of Grazia from 2016 to 2019, as well as fashion features director of British ELLE from 2004 to 2015. Prior to joining ELLE, she worked for publications such as the Independent and the Independent on Sunday, where she served as fashion editor. Lowthorpe earned a first-class BA Hons degree in Fashion Communication and Promotion from Central Saint Martins in 1993. She has written for several publications, websites, and newspapers, including the Sunday Times Style, Style.com, Vogue Japan, US Harper’s Bazaar, and Pop. She has twice been nominated for the PPA Writer of the Year Award.
Lowthorpe is a consultant for a number of companies and people, including as Hussein Chalayan and Karen Millen. She wrote an article for the latter’s book, Hussein Chalayan, which was released by Rizzoli in 2011. She is a member of the British Fashion Council’s NEWGEN selection panel and the external assessor for womenswear at the Royal College of Art.
