Luke Truesdell, 34, was arrested and charged with one count of attempted murder and three
counts of first-degree murder. Authorities arrived at a residence on East Otter Road, where they discovered four victims.
Three were pronounced dead at the scene, while the fourth was airlifted to the hospital with
life-threatening injuries. The deceased victims have been identified as 44-year-old Romondus Lamar Cooper, 33-yearold Amanda Sue Parker, and 26-year-old Keonna Victoria Ryan. Brent Anthony Brown, 34,
remains in critical condition.
Investigators reported that the victims suffered blunt force trauma to the head. According to court documents, Truesdell was present at the house when Linn County Sheriff’s
deputies arrived and admitted to detectives that he struck the victims with a metal pipe.
Detectives reported that Truesdell provided several possible motives for the triple homicide,
including the idea that a movie would be made about the killings. Truesdell made his initial court appearance on Thursday morning and is scheduled to return for
a preliminary hearing on June 14. His bond has been set at $4 million. The Linn County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the incident, but they do not expect to
make any further arrests at this time
