Is there an employer you would trust to not replace your job with AI?
A survey by resume.io asked 3,036 respondents: “If you had to pick an employer to join tomorrow for long-term job security in an AI-driven world, who would it be?” Three Connecticut businesses made the list.
The top in the Nutmeg state is Pratt & Whitney at 83rd overall, according to resume.io: “Aerospace is one of those fields where technology is everywhere, yet the human mind still drives the process. Workers at Pratt & Whitney see their roles as integral to something larger — work that requires instinct, creativity and judgment. In an era of AI uncertainty, it’s considered a place where people still sit firmly in the pilot’s seat.”
The second Connecticut company to make the list is General Dynamics Electric Boat at 90th, thanks to “the craftsmanship that goes into building submarines.” Yale New Haven Health rounded out the state’s representation at 130th.
A CT man has had a quest for years. Why a lawmaker says a ‘solution-oriented approach’ is in sight.
Which business took the top spot? Ben & Jerry’s of Vermont, according to resume.io.

“Not long ago, people chose employers based on the usual mix of salary, flexibility, and perhaps the company values,” said Amanda Augustine, resident career expert at resume.io and a Certified Professional Career Coach. “What this survey reveals is a meaningful shift: workers are now thinking more deliberately about whether a company can offer long-term stability in an AI-driven world.
“What stands out is that the employers topping the list are viewed as human-powered, grounded in judgment, creativity, and care. These companies feel more resilient because they use technology to support people, not replace them. And as we head into 2026, that balance is becoming a powerful source of confidence for workers.”
