Michael Davis Obituary – The man who was fatally injured while working in a manhole at a gas station on Lyell Avenue in Rochester has been identified by the police. Captain Greg Bello of the Rochester Police Department announced on Wednesday that the man killed in the incident on Saturday morning was Michael Davis, a 53-year-old resident of Brighton.
Upon receiving a call, officers were dispatched to the gas station located at 1291 Lyell Ave. just before 11:40 a.m. on Saturday. They discovered that the worker had been struck by a vehicle driven by a 45-year-old man from Rochester, according to the police.
The driver is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation, and there is currently no evidence suggesting that drug or alcohol impairment played a role in the fatal collision. As of now, no charges have been filed in connection with the incident, and Captain Bello stated that the investigation is still underway. As part of the investigation, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration has been notified.
