Police are investigating a fatal shooting of a 19-year-old man in Hartford on Monday, police said.
Patrol officers responded to the rear lot of 4 Barbour Street on a report of shots fired around 3:19 p.m., according to Lt. Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police Department.
Arriving officers located an unresponsive male gunshot victim, Boisvert said. The man, identified as Calcius Hales Jr. of Hartford, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to Boisvert.
The Hartford Police Department’s Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions are conducting the ongoing investigation. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact the Hartford Police Department Tip Line at 860-722-TIPS (8477).
