Juliana Torsiello Death : Off-duty NYPD Officer Killed in Orange County Crash: Hampton, New York — On Friday, there was a single-car collision with entrapment on County Road 51 in the town of Hamptonburgh, Campbell Hall, New York, and the New York State Police rushed to the scene. Putnam Valley resident Juliana Torsiello, 25, was recognized by the police as the driver.
Police say a preliminary investigation revealed a 2008 BMW 328 driving eastbound on County Road 51 between Blough Road and Ridge Road when the car lost control on a curve in the roadway. The car left the roadway and rolled over.
The driver, later identified as Torsiello, was pronounced dead at the scene. She was a two-year veteran as a Police Officer with the New York City Police Department. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
