Fatal ORV Accident- One Person Dead, Minor Injured In Schoolcraft County: In an off-road vehicle accident that happened in Schoolcraft County on Sunday, one person was hurt and another person died. Following 8 p.m. on Sunday, the Michigan State Police Manistique Outpost was called to an ATV 4-wheeler collision on Thompson Township’s Hemlock Trail.
Officers discovered an ATV that had flipped and ejected the driver and passenger upon arrival. The driver, a 33-year-old man from Chicago, sustained potentially fatal injuries when the equipment rolled over him. Despite the fact that the driver received life-saving treatment at the site, Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital declared him dead.
The passenger, who was eleven years old, was slightly hurt in the collision. At the time of the collision, none of the subjects had on a helmet.
