Isaac Muratalla Obituary,Death; – The California Highway Patrol reported that a 19-year-old male lost his life in Long Beach after a vehicle involved in a police pursuit crashed. The deceased was identified as Isaac Muratalla by the Medical Examiner’s office, who confirmed that he resided in Wilmington.
The pursuit commenced around 2 a.m. on Monday on the southbound Long Beach (710) Freeway and concluded approximately 45 seconds later with the collision on the transition road to the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway, as stated by CHP Officer Sergio Garcia to City News Service.
CHP officers made an effort to halt the Lexus ES300 sedan driven by Muratalla due to excessive speed just south of the Long Beach Boulevard exit. However, he did not comply with the order to stop, as per a CHP press release.
The Lexus swerved off the road on the transition from the southbound Long Beach Freeway to the northbound San Diego Freeway, flipped over, and collided with a tree, according to the CHP. Muratalla was declared deceased at the scene, while his passenger sustained moderate injuries and was taken to the hospital, the CHP reported. The motive behind his refusal to stop was still being investigated.
