If you are fed up with winter, a convention this weekend has got you covered.
The Connecticut Flower & Garden Show is heading to the Connecticut Convention Center from Thursday, Feb. 19 through Sunday, Feb. 22, according to a statement.
“New England’s ONLY 2026 major flower exhibition and show covers over 150,000 square feet and offers ideas for house, apartment and condo-dwellers, and is for gardening beginners to experts,” according to the Connecticut Flower & Garden Show. “As soon as attendees enter the Hall, they are welcomed by more than 20 colorful live garden and landscape exhibits in full bloom by professional landscape designers and nonprofit organizations, including naturalistic, low-maintenance, native, containers, vegetables, organic, herb, and pollinator gardens.”
The theme this year is “A Storybrook Garden,” according to the Connecticut Flower & Garden Show, “showcased at The Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut’s annual juried Standard Flower Show with horticulture, botanical arts, and photography entries from the 111-member garden clubs across the state. Included in the hundreds of entries are many fairy tales interpreted by floral designs and foliage exhibits including Jack and the Beanstalk, Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, The Princess and the Pea, Thumbelina, The Ugly Duckling, The Little Mermaid, Red Riding Hood, Hansel &. Gretel, Vasilia, the Beautiful, The Snow Queen, Baba Yaga, Rapunzel, and Beauty and the Beast.”

Guests can also look forward to “more than 80 hours of seminars and demonstrations” and “lose to 400 booths with displays, activities, shopping,” according to the Connecticut Flower & Garden Show.
Tickets can be purchased at a discount online for $17 plus a $1.34 fee for adults and seniors, according to the Connecticut Flower & Garden Show, and are available “through the final day of the show.” Online tickets for children are $5 plus a $1 fee. Tickets at the door will cost $20 for adults and seniors and $5 for children 5-12. Children under five are free.

- Friday and Saturday: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
