A woman suspected of selling drugs from her home in East Haven has been arrested for the second time in just over three weeks after another raid at her residence allegedly turned up narcotics.

Nicole Carbone, 41, was arrested early Friday after local and federal authorities searched her Holland Road home and allegedly found powder cocaine, crack cocaine, methamphetamine pills and a digital scale, according to Capt. Joseph M. Murgo of the East Haven Police Department.

Murgo said the search came after Carbone’s arrest last month on drug charges. Investigators, he said, developed information after the arrest suggesting Carbone was still allegedly distributing narcotics from and “around” her residence.

The multi-day investigation involved patrol officers and the department’s Investigative Services Division, who partnered with the DEA and FBI task force officers, according to Murgo. The coordinated efforts led to investigators obtaining a search warrant for Carbone’s home.

Following the raid, Carbone was charged with three counts of illegal possession of a controlled substance (second offense) and a single count each of possession or use of drug paraphernalia, sale of narcotics and risk of injury to a child. She was held on a $200,000 bond and was expected to be arraigned on Friday in New Haven Superior Court.

“The East Haven Police Department remains committed to addressing narcotics distribution within our community,” Murgo said in a statement. “The fact that this conduct continued while prior charges were pending is deeply concerning and demonstrates a disregard for the law and for the safety of our residents.

“We will continue to take decisive action against individuals who persist in this behavior and hold them accountable,” Murgo said.

Carbone was previously arrested on Jan. 21 after authorities raided her home and found a “significant quantity” of narcotics that were packaged for sale. Police allege that they discovered about 141 grams of fentanyl, 46.7 grams of cocaine/crack cocaine, 55.1 grams of methamphetamine and a large amount of cash and packaging material.

Carbone was charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance and a single count each of possession with intent to sell, operating a drug factory, possession of drug paraphernalia and risk of injury to a minor. According to court records, she was later released on a $200,000 bond.
