Demetrus Porter, Jeffrey Williams Obituary – Two additional murder investigations have been initiated after a violent Mother’s Day weekend in Montgomery, where a total of 16 individuals were shot. The Montgomery Police Department has confirmed the deaths of Demetrus Porter, 39, and Jeffrey Williams, 34, both residents of Montgomery. Although unrelated, the homicides occurred within a two-hour timeframe early on Sunday, May 12.
Police and fire medics responded to the shooting involving Williams at 1:14 a.m. on Oak Street, while Porter was found in critical condition on East Patton Avenue at 2:54 a.m. Unfortunately, both victims succumbed to their injuries in the following days.
No motives or suspects have been identified in these cases, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the authorities. These recent deaths bring the total number of fatal shootings over the weekend to four, including Tracy Cloud Jr., 25, and Gloria Crews, 64.
