Erik James Schultz Obituary – The man who lost his life in a collision on the southwest side of Fort Wayne has been identified by the Allen County Coroner’s Office. The incident occurred at the junction of Branstrator Road and Lower Huntington Road at approximately 2:45 p.m. on Friday, May 17, as reported by the Allen County Sheriffs.
According to the Allen County Sheriff’s Department, a dump truck collided with a car that was traveling north through the intersection. It is important to note that there is no stop sign on Lower Huntington Road where it meets Branstrator Road.
The driver of the car was immediately transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Tragically, he was later pronounced dead. The deceased has been identified as Erik James Schultz, a 20-year-old individual, by the coroner’s office.
This unfortunate incident marks the 10th motor vehicle fatality in Allen County this year.
