David Mullins Obituary, Albany, GA, Deerfield-Windsor Middle & Upper School student died in accident: A recently graduated Deerfield-Windsor student, David Mullins, tragically died in a car crash early on Monday, May 20. The accident occurred on Bobby Locke Road in Terrell County, according to the Georgia State Patrol (GSP).
Troopers arrived at the scene around 2 a.m. and found that a white Ford F-150 had exited the highway while navigating a curve, veering onto the east shoulder for approximately 260 feet. The truck struck a culvert and became airborne, hitting a guy wire in the process.
The passenger, Vansh Patel, was ejected from the vehicle due to the impact. The truck continued its trajectory south, still airborne, before crashing into a tree with its roof. It eventually came to an uncontrolled stop on its driver’s side, facing west.
David Mullins, who was driving the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. Vansh Patel was critically injured and lifeflighted to Grady Memorial Hospital for urgent medical care.
In the wake of this devastating news, Deerfield-Windsor’s head football coach, Brian McCrae, took to Facebook to express his sorrow over David Mullins’ untimely death. Mullins was remembered as a bright, talented young man with a promising future.
