As reported by the Florida Highway Patrol, a collision that occurred on Thursday in Palm Harbor resulted in the death of a lady from Texas and the injury of three other individuals. The collision included four automobiles. Following the collision, which took place at around 1:30 p.m., East Lake Road was closed in both directions.
According to the state police, a guy from Clearwater, Florida, who was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe and traveling northbound on East Lake, made a “improper lane change” in order to evade traffic that was halted. The Chevrolet Tahoe collided with the right side of a Chevrolet Camaro that was being driven by a lady from San Antonio, Texas, who was 39 years old. An accident occurred when the car driven by the lady entered the southbound lanes and collided with a Ford Expedition driven by a woman from New Port Richey who was 59 years old. An H2 Hummer driven by a New Port Richey resident who was 54 years old collided with the Camaro after it began to rotate while it was in motion.
The Texas woman was sent to the hospital, but she did not survive her stay there. She was identified Amy Mazzotti of San Antonio, Texas. Minor injuries were sustained by both of the drivers who were from New Port Richey. Troopers have stated that the man from Clearwater did not sustain any injuries.
