Beloved father and husband Eric Gabrielson of Clarkfield, Minnesota has sadly passed away. He died on Thursday 9th May 2024 at the age of 31 leaving those that knew him devastated. He was confirmed dead through a post made on Thursday 16th May 2024 that said “I didn’t know Eric Gabrielson for very long since I just moved to the prairie a few years ago, but he was a great guy. He told me where to get milk directly from a farmer, got me set up to learn about medicinal foraged plants from his mom Tami Gabrielson.”
Eric Gabrielson Birth and Career
On May 7th, 1993, Eric David Gabrielson was born to Duane and Tami Gabrielson at the Chippewa County Hospital in Montevideo. This event is considered to be a significant moment in the history of Chippewa County. During his final year of high school, he was a member of the Dawson-Boyd football team that won the state championship. He graduated with the Class of 2012, and this strength and dedication continued over into his high school years. After receiving his diploma, Eric experimented with mechanics and worked as a part-time truck driver for Viessman Trucking. However, the place where he truly belonged was in the field, working with his father, Duane, and grandfather, David, as a third-generation farmer. Together, they functioned like a well-oiled machine.
Eric’s family was the most important thing in his life. He was a doting uncle to his nieces and nephews, and he loved them with all his heart. It was difficult to find a picture of him by himself in which he was not surrounded by the children in his life who just adored him. His younger brothers, Justin and Megan, have wonderful memories of the time they spent as children playing in the treehouse and in the grove that is located close to their house. Eric enjoyed spending time with his family as they participated in a variety of activities, including wakeboarding, skiing, ice fishing, and visits to Norway Lake with his relatives. When it came to making sure that he was active with his grandparents and that he paid his great-grandmother Marge a visit, he took extra precautions.
Eric had a deep affinity for dogs, especially his own dog, Maya, which was second only to his love for his close family. Additionally, he had a preference for spicy cuisine; if it caused him to break out in a sweat, you knew it was a very tasty dish. An old spirit, he yearned for a return to simpler times and was a lifelong student who was always investigating and had a drive to learn something new about history or the world around him. He was a lifelong learner.
