The volleyball team also shared a message on Instagram, expressing their deep sadness over Mariam Creighton’s tragic death and asking for prayers for her family, coaches, and teammates. The Atlanta Police Department reported that the shooting took place at Atlanta’s Elleven45 around 2:30 a.m. on May 12, resulting in six people being shot.
Mariam Creighton and another victim, identified as 20-year-old Nykris Ridley, were pronounced dead at the scene, while the other four victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities indicating that the shooting stemmed from a physical altercation that turned violent.
